2. Description of Services

2.1 ethiCX

ethiCX is a scientific decision-support platform developed by EthiCell Solutions to support the assessment of in vitro experimental workflows, with particular focus on animal-derived components, animal product-free transition strategies, human-relevant methodologies, New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), and related scientific and regulatory considerations.

The platform may support users in identifying animal-derived or animal-origin components within experimental protocols, reviewing potential scientific implications, exploring curated alternative approaches, organizing transition strategies, and generating structured scientific outputs.

• Scientific information, classifications, recommendations, and supporting content made available through ethiCX are based on curated scientific knowledge, publicly available literature, technical guidelines, regulatory documents, and proprietary scientific frameworks developed by EthiCell Solutions.

• Where artificial intelligence or automated processing is used, such technologies operate as supporting tools for information extraction, organization, and scientific communication. They are not intended to independently establish authoritative scientific classifications, regulatory conclusions, or experimental equivalence.

• Recommendations regarding alternative reagents, materials, or experimental conditions are context-dependent and may require appropriate experimental qualification, comparability assessment, or validation before implementation.

• ethiCX does not guarantee that a proposed modification, reagent replacement, or experimental workflow will be scientifically equivalent, animal product-free, compliant with a specific guideline, or accepted by any regulatory authority.

• References to OECD, ANVISA, GIVIMP, NAMs, or other scientific and regulatory frameworks are provided for scientific decision-support purposes and should not be interpreted as endorsement, certification, regulatory approval, or confirmation of compliance by those organizations.

• ethiCX does not replace experiment-specific scientific judgment, formal regulatory consultation, laboratory validation, quality-system requirements, or professional assessment when these are applicable.

• Users remain responsible for evaluating the applicability of the information provided to their specific experimental system, intended use, regulatory context, and institutional requirements.

 

2.2 HumanE Sumus

HumanE Sumus is an digital platform to assist users in identifying and comparing laboratory inputs (e.g., reagents, supplements, and cell lines) that are free from animal-derived components.

• Information is curated by our internal team and may include publicly available data and materials provided by partner brands.

• EthiCell Solutions does not warrant the accuracy, availability, or performance of the listed products.

• Any commercial promotion of partner brands within the HumanE Sumus platform is subject to separate partnership agreements.

 

2.3 ethiCalc

ethiCalc is an automated digital platform that provides mathematical estimates for transitioning mammalian cells to serum-free media systems.

• The accuracy of the output depends on the correctness of the input data provided by the user.

• The mathematical function and protocols is periodically reviewed and updated by our scientific team.

• EthiCell Solutions® shall not be held responsible for errors in calculation, misinterpretation of outputs, or any scientific or commercial consequences resulting from the use of this tool.

 

3. Limitations of Liability

All services provided through EthiCell Solutions are for consulting and educational purposes only. We do not provide medical, clinical, or regulatory certifications or guarantees. Users are solely responsible for how they interpret and implement the information accessed via the platform.

EthiCell Solutions is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our digital tools.
